Pave The Way

The programming lodge at Camp Widjiwagan in Springfield was recently renovated, reopened and renamed for our lead donor, Levi, Ray and Shoup (LRS). On December 18, 2016, the LRS Leadership Center was dedicated at an open house. This renovation initiative began with a bequest from the estate of a former local Girl Scout, Janet Smith, growing with the generosity of LRS, Citizens Equity First Credit Union (CEFCU), and the Schnirring Family Foundation. The latter funded "Mary's Porch" in honor of Mary Schnirring.

You too can become a part of Camp Widjiwagan’s history by personalizing a patio paver to be incorporated around a fire ring behind the LRS Leadership Center. Pavers come in two sizes and can be engraved with many different special messages, including your name, business, or Girl Scout troop number (text only, no graphics); any additional funds will go to the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE). Preserve a memory and pave the way for leadership of girls in central Illinois.
